Is there any place or way to use Disney Dollars on the ship?

I had been acquiring Disney Dollars with my clicking, rebating and found money as I thought the next trip was going to be Disneyland however. . . now its 7 days of "Magic" (not that I am complaining).

Yes...you can use them to pay on your onboard account. ALl you do is take it to Guest services and they will take care of it for you. You might be able to apply them at the beginning of the cruise to your account as a credit....That i'm not sure of though;)

Have a great time!

What are Disney Dollars, how do you get them, and what do you use them for?

Just curious!

We try to figure out a ballpark figure for what we will spend on the ship. Then we try to save that amount of Disney Dollars. As soon as we board the ship we take our Disney Dollars to Guest Services and they apply them to our account, so we start off with a nice credit balance. If we go over that amount we pay the difference and if we don't use it all (surprisingly, this has never happened) they will refund the excess amount.

Disney Dollars are Disney "gift certificates" that act as money. You can buy them in ones, fives, tens (and I think 20s). You purchase them at the Disney Store (anyone know where else they are available?). They don't expire. You can use them same as cash at just about all Disney venues (I don't know where you can't use them!). You get regular "change" just as if you were using cash.

They are really cool - each denomination features a different character, and Disney seems to update/redesign the dollars frequently. I hate to cash them in - I'm sure alot of people keep them as collector's items!!!

I use them in the pre-trip months as incentives for my kids to earn. I also just got a nice mix of Disney Dollars from my mom for my birthday, with a view to my upcoming cruise! (Thanks Mom!:wave2: )

:sunny: Thanks for the information. Our nearest Disney Store is 156 miles away at a mall. Probably why I never heard of them from my friends.

First cruise ever 37 days away :thewave:

another nice thing about Disney Dollars is that when you purchase them you are always getting a fresh, new bill. Disney does not recirculate them. Once they are used they are cancelled out and never used again. Because of this they make great gifts.

Not like the Toys R Us Jeffrey money that looks horrible!!!
