We are going to Disney in November and have the free dining plan. My husband won't be able to join us for a couple of meals (golf takes precedence over breakfast) so I'll have extra adult meals at the end of the week. Will they let us use an adult credit at a buffet for a child? That way we could squeeze in a few more character meals and put the credits to good use.

No they won't. We were on the DxDDP this past Feb and had extra credits left over. We asked the last two days at four different TS restaurants if we could use an adult credit for my GS to order off the adult menu and was told no all four times. We told them we just wanted to use the left over adult credits up, but the answer was still no. We were only allowed to order what our KTTW card said--'2A 1C'. On our last day we had four adult and two kids credits left (the reason we had credits left over is that we had skipped two planned breakfasts during the week, sleeping in late).

If the OP is at the meal with just herself and her child, and her card says 2A 1C, could she order 2 adult meals then? Aubiree's problem appeared to be that they were ordering 3 adult meals when the card said 2 adults.

Might be different at buffets, everybody eats the same thing.
