Use a stroller as a wheelchair: this allows your child to continue to sit in his or her stroller while waiting for the ride. The stroller must meet some specifications for this assistance.

Does anyone know what specifications must be met? I got this information from:

As far as I know, almost every stroller can be used if the child needs it. We have used an umbrella stroller, a rented one from Disney and special needs one. I'm not really sure what that site is refering to. You just have to tell guest services why your child needs to use it and they will give you a tag for the stroller and a GAC. I have seen people use double strollers as well with no problems. What ever type you are planning on using, I'm sure will be fine.

Its actually a "special needs stroller" we purchased, large and oversized to fit her (shes 6)

That sites appears to be a little outdated. Have you looked at the info in the stickys at the start of this thread?

I found this:
Devices should not exceed 36" in width. This dimension is in keeping with the size of our entrance gates.

There is also some other information you may find useful about traveling with a child with special needs.

The only specification is size.
If it is larger than 32 inches wide or longer than 48 inches long, it may be too big to fit in some of the lines. Many people have used double strollers - as long as it fits, it's not a problem. Most lines are at least 36 inches long, but turning may be a little tight in lines with turns if your stroller is 36 inches.

For buses, you will be able to use the lift or ramp to load from the back door of the bus. This will help you avoid carrying a bulky stroller thru the bus. Unless the stroller was designed for transport, your child should get out of it and the stroller should be folded while on the bus.
