USAir ressie in parent's name?

I was having a problem booking our USAir flights online using Dividend Miles. I ended up booking my 1 year old son's reservation in my name by mistake!! I am not sure if this is problem since 1 year olds don't need an ID. I want the seat for him but will I be able to check in for two seats in my name and then put the baby's car seat in one of my two seats???

I tried calling USAir numerous times today but I guess they are busy because I can't get through.

Does anyone think this would be ok or has anyone done this before? (booked their infant's seat using a parent's name).

How do they know that your infant isn't a Jr, well if it's the same sex they won't be able to tell. I will say, that I have had US Airways look at the birth certificates of my children on more than one occassion when flying domestically. Personally, I'd want it changed, just to be safe. Call them and tell them of your error and ask them if it can be changed. This has happened to me on Continental, and they changed the name of the ticket for no charge.

You better call, it sounds like you currently have 2 reservations with the same name. Might they cancel one out as being a duplicate?

You should call. It's not worth risking the potential for problems at the airport! Besides, the last time I spoke with a USAir rep fares were half price for children under two years old.

First of all I would call and clarify it with them. Also when are you flying US Air. New York Times and US AIR have openly reported today 09/9 they plan on declaring bankruptcy on Sunday. More then likely it will be chapter 7. Unfortunately chapter 7 is liqudation which means the end of US Air. The Vice President of US Air said if they declare chapter 7 it could a week or more before flights are grounded and canceled. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Sunday will be the big day!
