USA Today?

USA Today probably does offer them for free
They are likely significantly discounted, but almost certainly not free. Hotels, schools, etc. can get pretty good deals on multi-copy subscriptions, but I doubt they view hotels as loss-leaders:

This is one of those little things that differentiates a timeshare from a hotel. You could have the paper delivered every day, but the cost of the paper (plus the labor to distribute them internally) would just go to dues. Some Members would like that. Others probably wouldn't. As a not-entirely-OT aside, if tiered perks come to pass, I would not be surprised to see paper delivery be one of them.

We stay at many hotels and timeshares that offer USA today for free. In many cases there is a note card stating if you don't want it to let them know and often given a listed savings of around 50¢ per day.

Because of USA Today's distribution to most hotels, it is printed and distributed locally in most major American cities. Copies are very inexpensive to hotels and it is the labor for delivery to 200-1000 rooms that gets pricey. Try walking every room in a hotel some time and see how long it takes!

BUT usatoday is free on the iPhone and web if you like reading it with your morning coffee and don't want to go pick one up. Same is true for the Times' for that day's news.

BC and BVW always seems to have the USA today by the bell hop. Although,
at the BC you may have to walk to the YC bell hop. :surfweb:

Actually, USA Today probably does offer them for free

Actually, they don't. I know someone who is familiar with USAT's internal accounting.

ETA: the ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulation) will not allow a discount of more than half off the cover price if the item is to be counted in circulation totals. Current full price is $1.00; institutional price is $.50, which matches what Dean noted.

When I stayed at AKV- Jambo house I received USA Today every morning...maybe it is resort specific:confused3
