Us3 back from the Fort! (report w/pics)

The trip sounds wonderful...and your girls are such cutie pies.:cutie:

Thanks Phyllis...it was a great trip. You know the best part is that we did not rush anything. We took our time to enjoy Fort Wildnerness at its best and only hit a few attractions in the parks on a few days. Now we are wanting to go back more often to do the same thing! :goodvibes

The pic's and trip report are great, getting psyched for our trip this summer.

Those girls are cute, and look like they are having the time of their lives.

Can I ask if DH will give me any pointers on what kind of gun he's considering for when the boys start calling? :rotfl2: I'm still upset about the two little rugrats calling here for my DD9 the other day!

Having been through this with my two DD's I'd highly recommend a Browning 12 Ga Pump.....There is such a note of AUTHORITY when you chamber a round. Really gets their attention....
and you know what notoriously short attention spans teenage boys have.

Also if you keep mentioning that you have a BACKHOE parked in the
backyard it helps focus the young gentlemen's thoughts.:cool2:

Mentioning you load your own ammo with double powder and ball bearings......
none of that sissy 00 buckshot... will also help keep their thought processes
on the straight and narrow.:lmao:

I have one of these. :lmao:

I have a backhoe but we just use it for plumbing

Hey Sonya,

We were there at the exact same times as you! Sorry you missed the DIS pic, but understand how ADR's go ;) Wasn't the rain crazy?? Since we were tenting it this time, we had to bail out to a motel for 2!!! nights. I will start my trip report sometime this weekend, and will included lots of photos also. I am LOVING reading yours; I almost feel like we were there with you- hey, we almost were :lmao:

Okay, need to figure out how to get my pics uploaded to photo bucket now. Talk to you soon...

Sorry we missed you! Were you guys in a partial loop? We looped through a few times, but must have missed you!

Sorry you had to go to a motel those two days!! I can't imagine being in a tent during that mess!:scared1: The following week sure did make up for it though! It was really nice in the morning and evenings!

A few more misc pics from around the Fort! :goodvibes

We were in the 1500 Loop from the 7th until the 14th. Unfortunately, we forgot an entire box of stuff at the house in our packing job, and left our custom made, really wonderful, (so sorry to reveal this, BDRog) Dis sign!! So, it's not surprising you didn't see us :sad2:

Look for my trip report to show up early next week!

Hhhhmmm...I'm not sure about the date...but I know for sure that he quoted that they were the first two cabins built on for a "trial".

they were trailers at the time, but they've been there as long as the fort has.

In all the times we've been through the fort...I've never seen them actually occupied. Has anyone else? :confused3 I'd think if they are the most requested sites, that somebody has seen someone use them.

Sonya,

Thanks for the fantastic pics. Feels like home.

Hey All,

Wanted to let you know, I've started a TR too- can't get enough of these! It's so fun to read about how everyone's trips are, I think because they are each so different. Keep 'em comin' everyone!

Sonya, LOVED all of you pics, and little extras that you've included. Thanks for giving me a chuckle each time I look! :rotfl2: :happytv:

See you on the boards!

We were right across from them in the 100 loop and they were occupied the entire time we were there. Saw at least two different families come/go during our stay. :thumbsup2

That's cool...then I did have the date right...FW opened in 1971 right?

yep, same as WDW. Last time we were there, someone had towels hanging over the railing so I just assumed some lucky family got that primo cabin! My sister used to stay in the old trailers waaaaaaay back then. Even then as trailers, I thought they were so cool.
