US will end Covid-19 testing requirement for air travelers entering the country

I am confused by your question. The only testing for Bahama cruises from the US was the Cruise test you needed to get on the boat to start your cruise ( there was the unvaccinated kid, 5 day screening on board for a while- not sure if that is still there). There was no testing to enter the US from any cruises. The recent US immigration testing was only for international AIR traffic. You could cross the border via car in Canada and not have to test.
Don't worry, I am confused as well :)
As I didn't have a cruise planned, I didn't keep up with what was needed to return to the US on other modes of transportation. I am in the process to book the WB transatlantic cruise this september, but the only thing stopping me at the moment (besides my time off not approved yet) is not understanding the requirements to get into the US. This message about the change in international air travel rules made me think that a cruise ship is also an international mode of transportation, therefore you would need to get tested before you get to disembark, or upon arrival.

Neither land nor entry required testing (I actually don’t know if either ever did).

This would be my worry as well. Right now, I can book an asymptomatic observed RAT at my local pharmacy - specifically for travel, but if the only people getting those tests are folks going on a cruise, then it's only a matter of time before the pharmacy phases out that service due to lack of demand.

Where I live we can also order at home observed tests from Switch health. I think I'll go buy those now, for our cruise in August. They cost about $80 for a two pack, which is about the same as the pharmacy test service.
I've done the same... ordered a few extra kits from Switch. Something else I found out about for Canada (and I know they do this in the US too) is that if you have your own rapid antigen test (like free government provided home kit), you can book a video consult with certain telehealth services and receive a proper certificate. In Canada, this comes a little bit cheaper than using Switch

This is the best timing ever. We leave on Wednesday for the Magic out of Rome.
Did you have a Covid booster to go on this cruise? I have been vaccinated, had Covid three weeks ago and have a cruise in Europe in August. Not to take a booster for at least six months since I had Covid. Just wondered what info you have since you are leaving soon.

You do not need a booster to cruise on DCL.
