hi there, sorry for all the questions. we will be in the world from wed oct 20th thru oct 26th. which day would be the best bet for us to visit universal studios and avoid long lines?? we are not staying on site and will not be attending hhn. also, will i need to purchase the express (paid) pass to avoid the lines? thanks so much for all your help. ive only been to us/ioa in december and do not know what to expect.

We were at both on the first weekend of October last year and the lines were not long for most rides. I don't know if the end of October will be busier though closer to Halloween. Usually at any park Tues and Wed are the slower days. I would consider buying the express passes for any weekend days you will be there, or go the first day and see what the crowds are like and see if you want to buy them for days left on your trip.

I'm a travel agent and have been told that typically Oct is slower, less crowds except for Pres weekend. We went last week and I wish I had gone ahead and bought the Express passes. We waited in line to do alot fo the rides so therefore missed out on seeing Beetlejuice, Revenge of the Mummy, T2 and several other rides I really wanted to experience. I'd make a decision based on what your experience is at the other parks you go to before.
Good luck and have a WONDERFUL time.

Thanks for all the advice. i will take your advice and do a couple of days at disney first to see how crowded and then decide wether or not to buy the express passes when i get to US.
