I just read the following on the Universal site and now wondering if their site is out of date? I was thinking s character breakfast would've been fun.

Swing in for a Character Breakfast at Islands Of Adventure!
Have breakfast at Islands of Adventure with Spider-Man® and the Cat in the Hat each Thursday through Sunday from park opening to 10:30 a.m. at Confisco Grille.

After meeting the Marvel Super Heroes and Dr. Seuss Characters, experience high-flying excitement on the “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man” ride.

The breakfast is $15.95 for Adults and $9.95 for children, plus tax and gratuity. Call 224-4012 for reservations.

I called and was told that the web site is correct. There is a character breakfast at the Confisco Grille in IOA. It's a breakfast buffet from 9- 10:15 am, Thursdays thru Sundays. $15.99 adults/ $9.99 kids 3-10

Characters featured would be Thing 1&2, The Grinch, The Cat in the Hat, Captain America and Spiderman. (subject to change)

You are able to make priority seating 4 weeks in advance and must secure it with a credit card.


They also have Characters (Woody Woodpecker & ScoobyDoo) at the Kitchen restaurant in the HRH. This runs Wednesday thru Saturday from 6-9pm. It isn't a buffet, you just eat off of the menu.

I am so excited for my son. I just called IOA dining to find out when I could make a reservation. I wanted the character breakfast with Spiderman. I was able to make reservation for our upcoming October trip, the nice man I talked to said they were booking till the end of October. My son (5) loves spidey even though he has never seen any of the movies...go figure, it must be a boy thing.

We are going around Thanksgiving. Any idea when I can book the Spiderman breakfast? We have a 11 yr old boy and his DAD that are very excited about it!

I just got back from Universal and we did the Spiderman character breakfast. It was fun. The food wasn't the greatest but then we didn't go for the food.

We saw Spiderman, Wolverine, Cat in the Hat and the Grinch. The one thing about this breakfast is that the characters spend a lot of time at the tables. It wasn't just Hi, snap picture, bye. Spiderman and Wolverine spent a lot of time talking with us. They took lots of pictures. Spiderman even took a picture of us with Wolverine!!! The Cat in the hat spent a lot of time taunting the Spiderman figure that was on the buffet line. He would stick his tongue out at it, etc. trying to get Spiderman's attention. Spiderman told us it was because the Cat in the Hat's movie didn't do as well as his!!! Also, the Grinch spent a good 10 minutes entertaining this little girl. You could hear her squeals of delight throughout the restaurant. He played peek-a-boo, he did the tip-toe walk that he does and he did the "walking down the stairs thing" behind the buffet.

It was fun and I recommend it. But don't expect great food (although they had good fresh fruit).
