US or IoA Better for 4 YO Son

My family and I have been to Universal Studios many times, but have never gone to Islands of Adventure due to the fact that I worried that our son may not be able to do a lot there. Atleast at US he could ride everything but about one or two things. Is IoA good for a 4 year old boy, or more for the older crowd, as there are many more coasters and such? The more exciting the ride, the better for him. He is definately my husband's and my child. lol I would just like to do something a little different this year. I love US, but I'm ready to visit IoA already!!

Us doesnt have more stuff for children, but you coudl still go to IOA, they have Suess Landing where he can do everything, they have a little kids coaster called the flying unicorn he could ride in the Lost conitent (i think), and at Toon Lagoon there is a water playground and a popeye water raft ride you can all ride on together.

then you have all the other rides for grown ups which you can all do.

i say go for a change go to IOA.

There are two big coasters at IOA, and a drop tower that he will not be able to go on. He also may not be tall enough to go on Dudley Do-Right, and Jurassic Park might be too scary for him. There is also Poseidons Fury, and Sinbad, both are shows, and both pretty fun. As was said, there is the Flying Unicorn, Suess Landing with four rides just for him, A raft ride that he can go on, if he's tall enough, and a playground in Toon Lagoon. There's Pterradon Flyers, Camp Jurassic, The Discovery Center....and of course Spiderman. He's four, he will love spider man. Just as much to do at IOA, you just have to look past the two coasters.

I'm also having trouble deciding which park to visit as my kids are not very adventurous and one is only 38" tall. I know I can compile my own list of rides with height restrictions but before I do, does anyone know if a straightforward list of rides and height restrictions at both parks is available anywhere on line?

There are more attractions for your son to enjoy at Universal Studios versus Islands due to height restrictions.

Depends on how tall the son is, and how adventurous he is. My son preferred IOA over USF for one simple reason: Spiderman

You could just visit both with the ticket, for both parks. To me that will be the best option!
