US one day- best itinerary

I will be at US on Friday July 1 and would like to optimize by attraction visits but plan to leave the park about 5:30PM
Would appreciate any advice on how to beat the lines, which attractions to see first etc.
I am not staying on site and will not buy express pass. I have no problem with single visitor lines

Get to the park a half an hour before opening. Ride Mummy first. Shrek also loads up quickly so you should do it early. Men in Black has a singles line. I would also do Jaws early and then the rest of the rides after that.
