US/IOA in October

My DH and I will be going to Orlando the first week of October. We are DVC members so we will be staying on-site at WDW. We really want to go to US/IAO for at least two days (shh, don't tell on us!!). We were there several years ago with the kids and really loved it.

My question: How crowded is it in early October? I can't be in the sun for very long and want to avoid lines if possible. Should I go during the week? On the weekend? I received a free ticket that Universal was giving out over Superbowl weekend. I plan on purchasing a weeklong ticket for my DH.

I'm sure I'll be back to ask more questions. You all seem so knowledgeable and I really appreciate your help.

The crowds in October are generally light and if you go during the week, most of the attractions will have little or no wait.

Not really...just try to stay away from the Studios when HHN will be staged. The park gets really crowded in the afternoon for HHN.
