We are going to Universal in October and have a question. We are only planning on doing Universal Studios as we have done IOA recently. However, this is during the horror nights. Do you think we need to go a day when they are open for normal hours or will we be able to do it all on an abbreviated day? We are two 20-somethings who love rides and HP.

on the non hhn days, studios usually close at 6 and ioa at 7 the first two weeks in october.

i usually leave my darkside vacation by oct 16.
i have no idea if that same pattern if followed for the rest of october.

with the HP2 opening this summer, and crowds are high in october, i would hope the hours for the parks would be extended.

what date are you planning for the studios?
in the past 10 years, the weekdays up to the friday columbus day period have not had large crowds.
a lot can be covered at the studios in that time period.

Take note, if you want to ride the Hogwart's express (Which is just as much a real ride as practical transportation) you will need a two park ticket.

My loving husband thinks we can skip the Hogwarts Express since basically that one ride is going to cost us $35 to get the park to park ticket. I'm hoping once reviews come out that say how awesome it is, hopefully he'll change his mind!

We are going to be available to go any day between October 28-31.

Thanks!

Just buy the ticket. Easier to ask forgiveness than permission sometimes. :)
