My family & I are headed to US in less than a week! :thumbsup2

So what are everyone's recommendations for counter service food in both parks and sit down dining all over US.

We are staying at Royal Pacific Resort May 24-28 - yes, Memorial Day Weekend - so we obviously expect it to be very busy. Of course, the FOTL will help with the rides, but I would really appreciate a little dining help.

Thanks!

We REALLY enjoyed the Hard Rock Cafe. Do yourself a favor...go to

https://www.hardrock.com/px/px/register.asp?selLocation=ORLANDO and print yourself a Please Excuse for the Hard Rock. This paper will allow you to walk up to the hostess and be the next person seated. We used this twice last year. It worked both times and the Hard Rock both nights had over an hour wait!! I also LOVED the Nathan's hot dog stand in US near Jaws. Very good hot dog. Margaritaville was delicious and quite fun to be in. We didnt get to Bubba Gump's last year but I hear it is great. I would try that too. That is in CityWalk. Have fun!

While in IOA, we enjoyed Enchanted Oak and Thunder Falls Terrace. They have similar food but Enchanted Oak has cool theming Try to get there early though but if it's overly crowded, Thunder Falls is much bigger.

My favorite is Mythos in Islands of Adventure. I also really enjoy Lombard's Landing at Universal Studios. Loved Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific also.

Margaritaville at CW and at the Studios Finnegan's is popular too

At IOA, I like Thunder Falls Terrace (chicken wraps are wonderful) and The Enchanted Oak.

At the Studios, I love Louie's...great pizza! :thumbsup2

IOA...
For sit down, Mythos is a must do for us every trip. We've even been know to walk over from US for lunch

Counter service... Enchanted Oak,huge portions of very good food

US...

Sit down... Finnegan's is another must do for us. The food is great, filling and priced well for a theme park (actually all USO food is IMHO)

counter service... I see to be the only one here that likes International food and film court. It has a nice variety of foods. We refuse to return to Monster Cafe (over cooked pasta and raw chicken) or Mels (horrible tasteless burgers)

CW....
We used to really enjoy Pastamore' sitdown for dinner. However they changed part of the menu and went up on prices. I do still enjoy eating from their counter service area. The outdoor window at Latin quarter is also very good.

For sit down we have to go to Margaritaville every trip.

RPR..... Love Tchoup chop and Islands diningrooom both.

I seem to be saying this a lot, but Sal's Market Deli at Portofino has great counter service for excellent home-made italian food at very reasonable prices. You can sit inside or out on the piazza. We always eat at Mythos at IOA.

Places to avoid have been mentioned: Mel's, Monster Cafe, International Food Festival.

Boulangerie at Universal and Croissant Moon at IOA are great for sandwiches, desserts and breakfast croissants.

I love the pizza at Sal's. We've often taken a mid afternoon break by taking the boat over to PBH and having a late lunch at Sal's. It's usually so peaceful in the middle of the day when the parks are really cooking. It's one of my favorite, often overlooked dining spots.

Here are our regulars:

Sal's Market Deli - people are super nice!
Confiscos - air conditioned and close to the hulk
Finnegans - air conditioned and close to the mummy
Mythos i always get the chefs special and have never been disappointed
The Latin Quarter (they are not open for lunch anymore, but they had the best deal for lunch)

I rarely hear of anyone else liking Confisco's though so we may be the only ones. Maybe our liking it might just be because it is so close to the hulk!

we like Confisco's and the character breakfast was good!

You know - we may try the character breakfast this year. We stay on club and i do not believe we have ever eaten breakfast anywhere. I am going to put that on my list.

Personally i don't really like any restaurants in IOA. I love Margaritaville in CW. Another favorite of ours is Mel's Diner in US:banana:

I agree, Lombards was the best food I have ever eaten in a theme park and Mythos was excellent as well.

Cant agree on Tchoup Tchoup though...as we very VERY disappointed in our $100 meal.
