US Citizen living abroad- can I purchase?

I am an American citizen and live in Sweden. Would it be possible to buy into the program if I paid for my contract in full? How would they handle dues and other charges if I were even allowed to buy? Thanks for the info if anyone knows, I'm quite curious !

I am from the UK I purchased whilst at wdw but they would have sent the paperwork through the mail. I have to pay my fees annually wth my amex card as been a UK citizen living in the UK I dont have a US bank account which is the only way I understand you can pay your fees monthly. There are thousands of people who own DVC outside of the US in fact over 2500 in the UK alone (more members than in the majority of individual US states). There are various freefone nmbers that are available outside of the US to contact MS with.

MS is DVC Member Services, the folks you contact to make reservations with your points, bank your points, etc. There is also DVC Member Accounting, they are the folks to contact regarding your dues, loan payments, etc.

According to the latest issue of "Vacation Magic" (the DVC members magazine) DVC Membership is comprised of over 100,000 families from more than 100 countries.
