What was your experience and was there any language barrier problems? I would love to visit there someday!

I've never been, but I know most attraction signs and such, list English as well as Japanese (just as in France). Be prepared to have the majority of the food in Asian Style (there is no lacking of sushi here). And don't expect every CM to speak English (although there are quite a few who do.)

I've been there recently. Bottom line: Most visitors to the TDLR are Japanese. So as far as CM's go, not a lot of english is spoken. They do appear to understand more english than they can speak.

We stayed at a Disney (good neighbor) hotel. The hotel staff did not speak much, if any, english.

At TDL, you can get an english map at City Hall. All signs are in both japanese and english. Some attractions have english translation headsets, some (like Country Bears, are in both languages -- Blood on the Saddle in japanese is a hoot), and some are only in japanese.

Don't let language stop you. Disney Sea is not to be missed!

I have been to TDS. All of the sinage is in english, no problem there, never had a problem in the stores or restaurants either, some of the ride CM's had limited english.......one handed me a hand written notepad with Q&A's to chose my question ( was Indy broken down and when would it re-open) and then found my answer.

At TDS none of the rides are in English, and this did effect my enjoyment, the shows however are in English, and are fabulous.:)

I have recently been to TDS by myself and did not have a problem at all -- I stayed at the Disney Ambassador hotel and it was amazing -- the guest service is probably the best that I have ever experienced. While not everybody may speak English -- everything is done to try to accomodate and help you as quickly as possible. I was by myself and did not have ANY problems. Can't wait to go back!

<font color=navy>A friend of mine just got back from there - she speaks Japanese, so had no trouble there. She said that she noticed that they had more American food there ... and that sushi is really expensive there. I was surprised to hear that
