Has anyone flown US Air to Orlando.....We have booked 2 R/T tickets from Providence to Orlando for a price of $282.00..with baggage it comes to $382.00....We have never flown with this airline..we usually fly SW but the flights were a little on the high side...Has anyone ever used US Air? I hope I made the right choice...

Just used them to Dallas via Philly :scared1::scared1:

they lied to us on the plane amongst other things. As we boarded in Islip NY the pilot needed to take it for a test drive as when it came in one of the propellors was not working :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: that was the start of the trip and all sorts of excitement. This is only one so hopefully you have a better trip then we did

I have flown them many times, not my favorite airline. They don't give out any snacks - no pretzels, peanuts, etc. For awhile they charged for soft drinks, coffee & water but reversed that when no other airlines followed their lead. On longer flights, they used to have movies or short subject clips on some of their planes but they took that out.

Do you have a non-stop? If not, where are you connecting? I prefer Charlotte or DCA over Philadelphia.

We have a 1 hr lay over in DCA going down and coming back.....Are the gates close together or do I have to run the lenght of the airport?? I am so not a fly person...

What types of planes does your confirmation show? Probably not propellers.

DCA is pretty easy to navigate, they do not have alot of gates there.

Most of US Airways' services between Providence and DCA are flown by Embraer regional jets (actually operated by Republic Airlines). No props.

Actually, US Airways has more than a dozen gates at DCA, in two different piers, so it may be necessary to take a bus between them (or exit security and re-enter the other pier) to make a connection.

It's not as bad as going from E to B or C in Charlotte or Philadelphia.

The only flights out of PVD on US that use turboprops are PVD-LGA. PVD-DCA is either on a regional jet or sometimes on mainline aircraft. And I agree with the poster above that mentions taking connections in DCA or CLT over PHL. I prefer CLT, but DCA isn't bad. PHL is so dirty that whenever I connect there, I feel like I need to bathe immediately.

Sorry to have to say this, but I would walk the 2200 miles to WDW before I would ever fly US Air again!
