I read a rumour that USAIR will be added to the 'official airline' list for departure/ checkout. Is this true? I still can't find any 'official' information. We are flying USAIR in early October and it would be great on our depature day if we didnt have to worry about handling our luggage so much.

You might want to read the very first thread titled "Participating airlines". It states that this is a trial run and only being run at select resorts...quite a few deluxe resorts I was bummed, I'm staying at Pop and was really excited about it.

We didn't know about that article until we got home. We flew US Air home on Wednesday, 9/5, which was supposed to be the day that US Air was to become a participating airline. We went down in the morning to the magical express desk but no one said anything about it to us and we just took our luggage with us. It would have been nice though. The US air desk is all the way at the end and DH had to lug those bags a long way while I pushed DD in the stroller.
