I just checked on my flights for our 11/29 - 12/3 trip to WDW. I first checked the website and noticed that my return flights no longer existed. Then I called the 800 number to "reconfirm" my flights. Everything seemed fine until the "voice" confirmed my return trip such that my flight from Orlando to Pittsburgh HASN'T LANDED when my connecting flight from Pittsburgh to Lansing, MI takes off. If you're flying US Air, you might want to recheck your flights. No one from the airline called me (I realize it's early, but the agent I spoke with said I should rebook the return in the next couple of days or the flights might be full.)
I talked to an agent, who was very nice, and my choices stink. Originally I had an 11:05 departure and would be arriving in Lansing at about 3:30. Now I either have to leave at 8:15 a.m. for a 1:30 arrival or leave at 5:30 p.m. for a 10:50 arrival. My DD needs to go to school the next day and I need to go to work. I do not relish having to get to the airport at 6:00 a.m. -- that means getting up by 4:30 (and not looking very pretty)!!
Anyway, I just wanted to alert my fellow DISers. I'm kinda thinking parachuting to my originally booked flight is my preferred option.
Any advice or tips?
(Also, while I was going to rent a car from National, a town car service is looking much better.)
