So it is Monday, Memorial Day. I get up at the crack of dawn, because I am (I mean We are) going to eat breakfast in the castle with all the princesses!!!!! Yeah! Can you tell I am excited????
So I get everyone up. We have to leave extra early because we have a 8:05 ressie and we are staying offsite. Now we have 6 people to get ready, so we don't make it out until 7:30 AM . We get to the parking lot at the TTC and then get on a monorail. This monorail was not an express. I don't know why, but we had to stop at all the resorts and then it just stopped moving. We got there 20 minutes late. Because we were late they did not have a table for 6 , but they offered us 2 tables that could seat 4 a piece. Now, I knew the boys were not excited to be there like the rest of us, so I said they could have their own table. All the CMs and Princesses made such a fuss over those boys sitting by themselves. It was more fun to watch than the interaction my DD had with them. Ladies man was a hoot. I think he liked when Snow White gave him a big hug and flirted with him, thus the nickname Ladies man. I loved the food. It was awesome. The ladies had the "Light Breakfast" and the boys had the regular. I did steal some bacon from my husband. Yum! FYI, Mary Poppins was at Cindy's. I did not think she was a princess but my DD thought she was the most beautiful of all of them. I have to rent the video for her now. Ok, enough of Cindy's.
We finish and venture out into the park. We are on the 2 day UG touring plan, so our first stop is Splash Mountain. Again we do the wailing and gnashing of teeth with DD. This time a Mickey bar is all the bribery she required. We get right on. The ride was great. We get an get a Fast pass right away to get back on. We then hit BTMR. I remember this ride being much faster than it was. It was kind of lame. We are off to the Jungle Cruise. Big mistake. It opens at 10 AM and we got there at 9:55. There was a big line. I wanted to skip it, but I got overridden by the whiny bunch. I don't know why but they really enjoy all the corney jokes the CMs tell. It took about 30 minutes to ride and let me tell you, it was HOT!!!!!! We finish and hit Tiki Bird. This is when ESPN boy starts complaining that we haven't been on Buzz Lightyear 100 times yet. In the UG, they have a Dumbo or Die plan. We need a Buzz or die plan. When we finish TB ( I Love the Show !!!) , we are off to POC. I think that WDW forgot to pay the electric bill because, I couldn't see a thing in there.!! In the gift shop getting out, they have these toy rifles. The boys immediately fell in love with these things. I told them to wait until our second day , but they just could bear to part with these guns. I also wanted to see if I could take them back home on the plane before I bought them. Whine, whine, whine. My DD was also pineing over some funky shirt (a grownup shirt mind you) that they only thing that could describe it was motorcycle mama shirt. I quickly pulled them out of there with the promise of going to Mickey's Philharmagic. What an awesome show!! It is the BEST 3-D show I have ever seen. The content is cute , but the effects are what is great. We hit Spash again then we were starting to get hungry at this time. So we ate at the Pinnocio place. The food was good. We were now ready for Buzz. The line was long, but we got fastpasses and waited at the Electric Umbrella. This is when the trouble started. The boys were hot and were squirting themselves with their mister fans so we told them to go outside. DH had let Ladies man wear his hat because he was still sunburnt on his ears. This was his favorte hat he had bought in Cancun. LM put the hat down on the bench outside and came in to use the bathroom. I noticed he was not wearing the hat and went outside to look for it. It was already gone! Now DH is not used to whiny kids. He is home at 7 PM and the kids are in bed by 9 PM. So listening to them all day and then one of them losing his hat threw him over the edge. He got really mad, the silent kind of mad. We went on Buzz 2 times and DH didn't say a word. I wanted to stay for Spectro but I could tell it was time to go home. We left through the back way. DH was silent. We got back to the hotel and he let me have it. Apparently, it was the straw that broke the camels back. He was really mad at the fact that we would tease him when he stopped to take pictures every 5 minutes and we would lose track of him. He loves to take pictures, that is really what he wants to do on vacation. My SIL was not used to it like we are, so when he would stop she would laugh about it with me. He took as though we were mad and were making fun of him. Anyway, he decided that he was not going to take anymore pictures and if I wanted some, I would have to take them. So out came the point and shoot Kodak he bought me before we left. Well goodnight .... We hope tomorrow is a better day.
