This is the third time my flights have been changed or cancelled! We were flying from JFK to MCO the first weekend in November. We were on TWA flights. We had to change flights on TWA once already. Then they discontinued flights out of JFK. So, we had to switch to AA flights.

Just noticed my "new" flights on AA are no longer on the websites. Tried to call AA or TWA. Neither would even put me on hold. Just a recording that they were experiencing very high call volume and to try your call later or contact your travel agent, before they disconnect the call. I've been trying for two days already!!

I understand all the schedules changes but how are we suppose to find out what flights they reschedule me on if they won't answer the phone! I want to make sure I at least get on a flight with decent times and hopefully still non-stop before it is all booked up. Can't call a travel agent, I purchased directly through TWA (e-ticket).

The funny thing is that each time I called before about new flight arrangements, no one notified me of the changes (checked on the websites), and it didn't seem like they rescheduled me on anything yet, they just told me what flights were available to me.

This is so frustrating! My parents are flying to Miami tomorrow and AA cancelled their flight too. I tried to call AA for them but couldn't get through. Good thing they purchased their tickets from a "real" travel agent. They called their agent and she was able to find out what flight they were rescheduled on. It was a flight leaving 2 1/2 hours earlier. Can you imagine not knowing what flight you got rescheduled on, not being able to contact the airline, getting to the airport and finding out that you missed your new flight!!!

I hope I can get through to AA soon! I just want to get this settled (for the third time)! Of course, once I do, they will go and cancel those flights too!!:(

Sorry, I just needed to vent!

Keep trying. I'm an AAdvantage member. I have not had a problem getting through in the last month when my flights were changed for my upcoming trip. The longest that I was on hold was 10 minutes. Just don't give up to get the info that you need.

I got through to TWA customer care service this morning. 1-800-892-2247 or direct 1-314-589-7570 they probably can pull up the AA flights too.:D Good luck!

I stayed up until 2AM last night and got through to the AA reservation number. Was rescheduled to the latest non-stop flights available on Thursday and Sunday nights. They are each 2 hours earlier than the cancelled flights but I'm satisfied. Dh will just have to get off of work earlier on Thursday (he didn't want to).

It could have been a lot worse. The only two other non-stops were morning flights and the other flights were all connections. I guess the airlines seem to be cancelling a lot of their late evening flights.

Just hope they don't cancel these flights too! I was thinking of trying priceline for car rental but now I think that I will keep my cancellable car rental reservation. Who knows if future flight changes will have me changing all my plans including car rental dates & times. One less thing to be worried about.

Well, thanks for the replies. I feel better today. :D

I have the same exact situation. Flying out JFK, early Nov on TWA. Cancelled (without calling at all). Called TWA, wait forever. Called AA, wait forever. Finally got thru. Reschedule on AA. So far, the flight on AA is still on the web site, but seriously, who knows when they'll cancel.

This is getting ridiculous. Why can't they at least announce on a recording or web site that a certain flight is cancelled? What is so tough about that?
