URGENT: Please Pray for My College. Possible Situation Going Down

I guess I am still on my university's emergency texting system. I just got a text from campus police stating that there is an emergency in one of the dorms and that students should stay in their rooms. Please pray for whatever the situation is. Hopefully it is only a medical situation and they want people out of the way and is not something that will endanger the lives of other students, but to be honest, I have known of several medical emergencies and have never seen them do that before. I am worried as to what this might mean. They have now sent three of these texts in the last few minutes. Please keep whatever is going on in your prayers.

I've been keeping up with the Facebook updates. Apparently the Student Advisors (sometimes called RAs at other schools) don't even know what is going on, but several people have seen at least one police officer with his gun out. It sounds very serious.

ETA: Just saw a report (and this could all just be rumor at this point) that somebody has a gun.

There is a new report on Facebook that there is possibly a person with a shotgun inside the dorm and the police are checking all the restrooms in the buildindg. What a scary time for my friends who are still on campus. Please pray for them.

I just got the "all clear" text. From what I am reading on Facebook, apparently some kids were messing around with airsoft guns in/outside the dorm. I don't know if this is true or not, but thankfully whatever it is is done with.

Truman State University. I received my BA and my MAE from there. (I am not there anymore).

Anywho, the current report is it was some kids with Airsoft guns. Not the smartest thing to do on a college campus in this day in age. I'm not overly familiar with weaponry, but aren't Airsoft guns essentially BB guns that look like the real thing?

At first I thought you were talking about UNC-Greensboro. Some idiot, non-student, had a freakin' SHOTGUN and shot it on campus. They did arrest him after they towed his car and he went to claim it.

They are! According to the article, an SA saw four guys with guns in the dorm. The guns were airsoft guns but looked like real guns. The police sent the texts to tell students in the dorm to remain in their rooms. When the students with the guns realized what was going on, they presented themselves immediately to campus police and the guns were confiscated. All in all, probably not their brightest moment.
