Ok everyone, I've got a quick question...

Can you have 1 pop-up AND 1 hybrid trailer at 1 full-hookup site??? I've been camping at The Fort for 25 years, but I don't know the answer to this one!

Family just called 10 minutes ago and said they'd be coming down tonight from NC to surprise us for the weekend  We already have res for the Fort this weekend (starting tomorrow) and wanted to know if we can just bring their pop-up and set it up on our site too??? Anyone ever done this? Need to know by tonight!?!?!?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I don't think so; it would be two camping units. Why don't you call the Fort and ask? However, it is usually better to ask for forgiveness than permission!

Sorry to give bad news. No. But they can tent camp at your site if you have 10 or less total peeps.

Yes. We go to the Fort 3-6 times a year and you see this quite a bit. Class A with a pop-up, Fifth Wheel with a Pop-up, etc.

We usually see the pop-up on the back sand pad as a "tent" and the other camper in the front. You can classify a pop-up as a tent/tent trailer. Just tell them "We are going to use the tent trailer as the tent allowed on our site".

Before we got the Hybrid, we used to hook up our camper van and our popup on one site since the popup used the 15 amp and the camper van used the 30 amp.

Have a great time pixiedust:

I would have answered no! I thought they only let you have a camper and a tent or two tents. We have camped with two pop ups on one site at other campgrounds for an extra charge. I guess it never hurts to call Fort Wilderness and ask them!

The 'official' answer would be 'no' they do not allow two camping units other than tents on one site. That is in the campground rules. BUT, I have seen all kinds of rules broken there, so yes, some people have done it.

BUT, what would you do, if you counted on it, then they decided to enforce the rule - on that day, week, month, whatever??? They would be totally within their rights, as they list it plainly in the 'rules, regulations' for the campground!

We once parked a 37 foot MH and a small teardrop trailer on one site. We plugged the MH into 30A and the TT into 15A outlets. No one said anything to us about having two RV's on one site, and i've often heard of a 5th wheel and a PUP on one site.
