Upside Down GPS

When I was at Disney world last September, I was using the gps on the app but it was upside down/backwards. While holding my phone it would look like I’d have to go left, but I’d have to actually go right- it became super confusing. Anyone else experience this issue? Was there something I should’ve pressed to fix it? TIA!

Never had a problem like that. Suggest you remove and reinstall the app or at least make sure your app is up to date.

Were you by any chance looking at both the GPS and the paper map simultaneously? The North-South orientation on the paper map can be different. One of my friends got confused as well.

I would check the settings for your GPS app. Sometimes there can be choices for how things are displayed. Have you used it previously or ever had a similar problem or has it worked correctly in the past? Sometimes if you exit an app and restart, it will resolve any software issues it might be having (much like restarting your PC). If the problem continues and it isn't in the configurations and always works that way, I would try to delete/re-add that app. There are lots of GPS phone apps, it one doesn't seem to work on your phone, I would look for a different app.

Right. Park maps are always oriented with the entrance at the bottom, regardless of actual position of North. Can the GPS be set for direction of travel to be up?
