Upset about FD dates

Speaking for myself, I don't begrudge anyone the opportunity to get free dining. In fact, I think it's wonderful if guests who've always just done QS discover how delightful it is to sit down with their family to break bread and enjoy a break from the park.

I would just prefer to avoid FD myself because I didn't think the quality of food at dinner was as high then. Plenty of other times to go to WDW.

Absolutely how I feel. I'm not"upset" with people who go during free dining. I'm actually happy for folks who get to go b/c of the promotion. Like, BCV23, we try to plan trips around such promotions when crowds may be lower and food quality better.

Please don't take this as an insult/bash but I don't understand how anybody who loves Disney gets upset that others go to Disney when opportunities arise that make it economical for them to go ie: Free Dining.

I too never said I was upset that folks were getting free dining. I think it's great if a family can take advantage of ANY deal - especially if it is a splurge for them to get to experience restaurants they normally would not. I consider myself very blessed that I can afford to go anytime of the year that I like and pretty much do what I want. I am very happy for those that count on this promotion to provide some magic for their families!

But - just as I would never go at peak Christmas or Easter times, I prefer to avoid the free dining promotion as well. It is just not for us. That is what I started this thread out as. Not upset at anyone in particular - more just my lousy luck for the dates I chose. I can avoid Christmas when I book 11 months in advance cause they aren't moving Christmas!

We will most likely just grin and bear it as the only room I can find for the previous week is BLT and we are staying there in early December.

The PP was talking about getting 2 QS in place of one TS. I remember when that happened too.

Oh I misread! :) My bad -- that happens any time paid or free dining you can if you want change TS for additional CS & Snacks

Is there another resort available for your early December dates?
