Upsale Question

Has anyone gotten a upsale rate for the fall or winter?Also when you call,are you first asking for a package or discount (AAA,code,etc) or rack rate?Many years ago we got a upsale when we already had a ressie for the Caribbean Beach and was told that we could have the Grand Floridian for the same price.At that time,I had never heard of a upsale and question the CM many times about it.Of course we took it and we had a lagoon view when we checked in at the price for the Caribbean Beach.After that year,we have not had such luck.We always use a code,AAA,package,etc for discounts.I would love to return this year but it would have to be in the fall or winter,thats why I'am asking.Any help would be great.Thanks

I forgot to also ask,has anyone had to pay their deposit when they take them up on the upsale offer or do they give you the 14 days to have it paid?

Someone recently posted on the "Resorts" board that they received an upsell. I had never heard of such until that post. I believe they were booked in POFQ and were booked in BC for the same or similar price. I wish I could get lucky like that.
