HI
I'm at 13 days count down, and am thinking about packing some this weekend. I am packing a christmas tree and shipping it ups ground. I want to know how far in advance I should mail it out. I"m in Nebraska.

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

Who is patiently waiting until Dec 13 to leave!! ( NOT):bounce: :bounce:

Linda-
My DH works for UPS, and his answer was to go to UPS.COM, and click on "shipping". It will tell you exactly how long it will take by asking for your zip-code, then the zip code to where you are shipping to. Just to be on the safe side, add 1 day to that, and you should have no problem. Be sure to tape the box well, and clearly write your name, check-in date, and confirmation number on the box. Using your tracking number, you will see when the tree arrives. Have a Merry Christmas---we won't be there until the day after Chriastmas:(

Buckleybunch, Mic gave excellent advice (way to go!). We used to ship my daughter's stroller to our resort (it had gotten damaged from the airlines once and I didn't want to chance that again). My husband always shipped it UPS, second-day air. Sure, it wasn't cheap (since something of that size goes more by dimensions & not really weight), but it was worth its weight in gold to know that I would have an intact stroller to push my daughter around in. Anyway, we always shipped it so that it arrived a day early. We did that since we usually checked into our resort early in the morning (after having taken the red-eye flight from the West Coast). If we had shipped our package to arrive on our arrival date, it wouldn't have been there until the afternoon, long after we had hit the theme parks. Just something to think about, not that it really matters for a tree! ;)

Thank you for your replies. My DH thinks it would be better to purchase a tree at a local store when we arrive. I picked one up a while a go pretty cheap so I figure I would rather ups it down then to get to ORlando and not find a small cheap tree. I figured I can also include the "minnie" bows in the box and be all set.

Thanks again
Linda
