Uprading Hotel

Hi, this is my first post, so here goes.

We are staying at ASMo in December. We will not know until late November, but we may ba able to afford to upgrade to a moderate hotel. Is it possible to upgrade to a different hotel whilst you are there, or do you need to do it before you go.

As long as there is availability you sure can upgrade.

Don't know when in December you are going....but if it is over the holidays you will want to check availability and upgrade as soon as you know if you want to... if it is a non-holiday time you can play it by ear and decide after arriving probably.

Well, I suppose you can always upgrade when you get there... but besides the availability issue it isn't that convenient. All resorts are far apart and have their own check-in, so it is really easier to know which resort you are going to when you leave the airport! It isn't as simple as say, upgrading the room type.

I would try to upgrade as soon as you have decided to do so or when you can afford it. Availability can be tricky just about anytime in December.

I also would not arrive and hope to upgrade to a different resort. As someone noted, all the value and moderate Disney resorts are far from each other. I agree that if you can and want to upgrade I would call as soon as you know and check for availability. If you find something you like you can then cancel your original reservation and CRO might be able to move your deposit to the new resort. Worst case would be that you would have to make a new deposit and have the original refunded to your credit card.
