Amy, no worries...a lot was chit chat. And, as I said earlier, I'll be slowing down until I order the Photopass CD for the park days.

The details blew me away. I have to admit, as much as I love the Poly, AKL has become my all-time favorite deluxe/DVC resort.

I took pictures of the drapes...I'm hoping they turned out.

Just found your TR CSR Buddy! That room looks super nice, I would have cried too!! Looking forward to hearing more.

WOW WOW WOW!! Man, I totally would stay there! Did you rent points or pay regular rate? I don't think i'll ever be able to afford that type of room there! I love the little kitchen area! Can't wait to see some more pics!

I know that feeling of bursting into tears. I think this trip I teared up when the bus driver for ME gave us the speech and this one was enthusiastic.
He was all about " Move that bus" Heck I am tearing up just thinking about it.

I always tear up going under the arch for some reason. Makes it heard to get a good picture. ;)

I saw the model bathroom of AKL and WOW. I only have a studio this time but I can't wait. :hyper:

Ohhh tonight I need to make a new ticker. :woohoo:

Welcome...delighted to have you here. The room was heavenly. An update tonight.

Jenn, a gal I work with rented us points really, really cheap. For this year, it was 64 points for a One bedroom Savannah view for a total of $832.00; she only charged us $300.

We hope to stay there again in 2013 for our 30th wedding anniversary.

I definitely think it is a Disney thing with the tears...but that room just opened the floodgates.

Another ticker?

Wow your villa was beautiful! :lovestruc I think I'd be happy just hanging out in there, and not going to any parks! Ok, maybe not, but I'd definitely spend more time in my room if I stayed there!

Jen, I really think you need to stay there for Brandon. I could have easily skipped going to the parks and just hanging at the AKL for a week.

OMG!!! Your room is amazing and the price you got it for??

Wasn't that great, Ann? Her points were going to expire and she couldn't bank them. It was really sweet of her.

Kathy when I win a lottery I will do AKL for sure !!!:cloud9:

That's what I'm hoping for our 30th anniversary. :goodvibes

So continuing with the tour of our Villa in Kidani at the AKL, here are some more photos (picture heavy):

We proceeded to unpack and just soak it all in.

Up next: Mark goes to the pool; will I go with him, or just enjoy my view?

Love the tile, wish our room had had that. I just fell in LOVE with the wood-carved furniture. They were hand carved by African craftsmen...just beautiful!! :thumbsup2

Wasn't it hard to leave the view of animals to go to the parks? We were never able to make a park rope drop the whole trip. :rolleyes1

Your villa looks amazing!! I love the picture of Mark looking out the window at the animals, you can tell he is smiling

Kathy, I covet that jacuzzi tub in *your* bathroom. It's wrong, I know. *hangs head in shame*

What an amazing room. Some day. I've always said that my dream is to stay at the Poly but once I saw AKL in person, forget it. I want to live there! The rockers by the fire pit were a dream. I am so glad you had a wonderful vacation this year.

What a beautiful resort! I am also in love with the jacuzzi tub! ::yes:: looks like you had lots to observe. The mama giraffe and her baby are so cute!!

Love the pictures.:lovestruc

I love the Lion King tile in the bathroom. We didn't have that when we stayed at Jambo house.

I loved the carpet and the drapes. Okay, I loved everything. I had no problem not going to the parks on the 3 days we stayed at AKL. There is so much to see and do.

Wow nice tub....hope you got to use it a couple of times!

Yup that's the same drapes we had, love all the details in them!

Hey that's my baby and mama giraffe....they were outside our room every morning at Jambo...its got to be the same ones....I  giraffe's!
