Since our first trip last year, where 800 pictures somehow were lost from our memory card:sad: , I've learned that we could have uploaded pictures in the parks. Can anyone tell me how this work? I know they have photo places in the parks? Is there a charge? How long does it take? Do I need to bring cds or can I upload to my Kodakgallery.com account? My goal is to know all about this before our next trip. Thanks so much for your help!

There are so many places to save your pictures. I use Photobucket as one plus I always make photo CD's. Another way to save your pictures if you're not good at making a CD would be to take your photos or pictures to Wally World and have them do it for you.(it cost very little to have this done) Also eny time I have film developed I always have a photo CD made.
Now with that said can you tell me how the pictures where lost from your memory card? I ask because they are ways to recover files from HD's and other media cards, ie...memory cards.

Thanks for the info about uploading. I don't really know what happened to the pictures from my first trip. They were on the memory card when we got home. When I took the camera off the photo dock the next day, I had a message that the memory card needed to be formatted. I didn't do this, but took the card to Wal-Mart. They said there were no pictures on the card. I've taken it to professional photographer who only uses digital, a Ritz Cameral store and two computer professionals have worked with it. No luck with anyone:confused: and no one knows what's wrong or have ever seen anything like it before. It runs the programs like its pulling up the pics, but then locks up all of the computers. It was really heart breaking, especially since it was our first trip and we had so many pictures of our DD3 and DS6. On a happy note, lossing the pics has made it much easier and more important for us to return to the world sooner than we had planned.

What kind of memory card was it, ie...SD, CH,?
Also if it was not formatted then they could still be there and the you say it locks up all the computers that you try to retrieve them with says to me that there is something there.
I'm not trying to get your hopes up but I have seen this type of problem before. Do you have a card reader? If so can you insert the card and goto My Computer, Right click on the drive for the card and click on Explore? Also does the card have a lock/unlock on it?
To bad you guys don't live around the corner so I could look at it for you, but I will try and help you any way I can.
