what would this ticket cost for 4 days, we will be there from May 4-9, 2003 but drop 1st & last days leaving 4 days Mon- Thurs. What's the cost going to be?

You may only be able to take either the first or last day off, sometimes they don't allow both.

The Ultimate Park Hopper Ticket, as sold at all other WDW resorts, normally must be purchased by ALL members in your party, and must be for the full length of your reservation.

DVC members often have WDW annual passes, but are travelling with family/friends that don't. As such, we are given the option to purchase only as many UPH passes as needed.

However, DVC policy is to only drop one day off the length of stay, either at the beginning or the end, not both. There is sometimes a kind CM behind the counter that will "bend" the rules, but that is an exception I would not count on for myself.

To work around this, you may have to split your reservation into two separate reservations. This would allow the you to drop the days you don't want without having to argue with a CM simply doing their job.

I really wonder what the exact rules are.
My wife and I brought my MIL & FIL as our guests, and they needed passes (wife and I have PAPs). The Cast Member that checked us in at VWL offered to drop the first and last days for my in-laws, but she made it known that she should not give my in-laws the 10% discount. She did end up giving them the discount.
I don't know if she was correct or not, but it all worked out anyway.

The official rulse are:

• Must be purchased for each day of your stay including first and last day.
• 10% discount for members AND guests in the SAME villa.
• Must be purchased at checkin.
• Only at DVC (not with available if staying through the DC)
• It includes the entire stay even if different room types, different reservations or even combine cash and points reservations.

Now the rules haven't been enforced, imagine that. Many have been allowed to drop both the first and last day but some have been told no. I haven't heard anyone that was not allowed to drop both lately though. I haven't heard anyone address the issue in practice for different room type or combined cash and points stays to see if they had to get the passes for the entire time.

does this apply to DVC members?
I'm pleased that this thread started because I've been wondering how I can get the biggest discount on UPH tickets. Thanks in advance for your advice.

The DVC discount is available only at the resort- not in advance. The discount can't be combined with any others.
