We always buy 7 day park hoppers, but we are looking into DreamMaker Canadian at Par package and I have a question re: UPH days. I'm trying to figure out the best deal for us with room only rates, and ticket options, and comparing these to the package/UPH rates in order to see if it's worth it or not, but I need to make sure that I'm comparing the right amount of days.

1. If we arrive on Monday, April 26 and check out Friday, April 30 that is 4 nights/5 days. Does this mean that we get 5 days of park hopping access up until Friday at midnight even though we checked out sometime during this day?

2. I'm having trouble figuring out a per day price because the hotel is for 4 nights, and the tickets (I think - see above) are for 5 days. How can I accurately compare this package, to a room only with park hopper - do I divide by nights, do hotel and UPH separately?

3. Also, since this would be booked with Walt Disney Travel, is deposit refundable, and when does final payment have to be applied?

4. If we refuse Disney travel insurance, can we get our own, or does it have to purchased at time of booking? When is the last day to purchase insurance? I just booked a Disney Cruise as well, so I would want insurance for all of it, but I can't do insurance stuff until tomorrow as office is closed.

Thanks so much, Tiger aka Piglet's Momma

I don't know all, but:

1. Yes, UPH is good from the moment you check-in until closing of the day you check-out. Note that you can check in early in the morning to get your passes and have your luggage stored, then pick up your room key when you return.

2. You can take your quote for hotel only, then deduct that amount from the whole package price to figure about what you pay for your UPH. This would not factor in any extras in the package.

Note that you can omit the first or last day from your UPH if you purchase them at check-in (however, you lose the advance purchase discount).

Sorry I don't know about #3 or #4.

Hi!

I'm going to try and answer some of your questions. First, I took advantage of the Cdn at Par deal and we are staying onsite for the first time in a number of years. I have called back a couple of times when I've seen the new codes for room only and packages for the spring. The At Par deal could not be beat! You are essentially saving close to 40% on your package. The UPH are great! We used them last year when we stayed at a DTD hotel. They are good from the morning of your arrival (even if your room is not available yet) until midnight of the day you depart. We purchased an additional UPH last year for 4 days and I think it was about $175 US. I guess it depends on the ages of your kids, but we found the package a very good deal. Now when I booked the package I used the 800 # which is listed on this board (no charge) and gave an initial $200 deposit which is totally refundable. I was given until the end of January to pay the balance but from what I understand, it is totally refundable until 1 week prior or something. They did not ask me about insurance at all. I should also mention that this package includes lanyards and pins, and the choice of 4 different 'extras'. Miniature golf, tile at Leave a Legacy, $25 gift certificate to Planet Hollywood in DTD.

Hope this helps. Probably not but I tried! princess:
