UPH and dropping days

Hi,

How successful has members been at getting BOTH, arrival and departure days dropped from your UPH tickets? I just called MS and was told only one day could be dropped. I know I have been before and have had both dropped but it's been awhile. Anyone have success with this recently?

I don't know the answer to your question but had another one of my own. We have parents coming to visit for one night on the way to the Clearwater area. Is it possible to get a 1 day UPH and drop the departure date? Any idea what that costs?

We also have guests staying with us for a couple of days. I called MS to see if they could get a UPH for the number of days they would be staying with us and she said no. You can only get the UPH for the length of the booked stay, minus 1 day for departure or arrival You may want to check out the GayDays website as they may have a 1day ticket. We are right now looking to see if they have something for our guests. As far as I know there are no restrictions to these tickets. Anyone know for sure?

We have never wanted to drop both days, so I don't have a definitive answer. However on our last trip to VWL, the CM asked if we wanted to drop either the first or last day, and added "or both." So that CM, at least, would have allowed it.

It's all very inconsistent though, and so as to not be disappointed, I'd assume the worst.

And re: the one day UPH: UPHs are tied to the length of the reservation, so there's no way someone arriving in the middle of the stay will be able to purchase a shorter UPH.

It's been a while since I've heard of anyone being denied this request. All you can do is ask and have a backup plan. It's very likely you'll be able to drop both though.

I agree with Dean.

MS is giving the "official" policy (re dropping both days), but it seems to really be up to the discretion of the CM when you check in. Haven't read of anyone being denied.

Other than dropping arrival/departure days, have not ever read of anyone being able to buy UPH for less than the length of the booked stay. Guests staying a shorter period than the booked stay must choose other ticket options.

A couple of years ago, we arrived at VWL early after departing the cruise and they let us drop both the arrival and departure dates without any problem.

We were able to drop both first and last days from our UMPs last October at the BWV.

Thanks for the input. When we check-in, I am going to ask for both days to be taken off and we'll see what we get. Hopefully, we can do this...I'll let everyone know.
