We are going to Disney the end of October. We want the DxDP but right now we are getting the regular DP my question is in Sept or Oct can we upgrade to the DxDP?

You can do it as late as 72 hrs before check-in. If you're past your paid-in-full date, you'll have to pay the full price for the upgrade when you do it.
