I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade tickets at Universal Studios. We will likely purchase 2 park unlimited tickets for Universal (for an August 2010 stay). When we are there, can we upgrade these tickets to annual passes if we want to? We are headed to Universal (and WDW) in August 2010. We will be back to Florida for a cruise in Feb 2011. If my kids love the Wizarding World of HP so much, I think we might want to return after our cruise...but I won't really know until we get there. Any info would be great!

Upgrading is easy, just go to guest services at eighter park and they will hook you up.:thumbsup2

So, is it just like at WDW, if I paid like $100 for my week long pass, I would pay the extra $49 to upgrade to an annual pass? Can it be any time when our passes are valid? (like on the first day, the last day, or any day?) Thanks! I am pretty clueless when it comes to Universal!

I just looked on the website...it looks like the 2 park annual power pass is $149 pp. :confused3. I hope this is the case! That actually does seem kind of cheap when I compare it to WDW prices...now that I think about it!

I have to admit I don't know too much about Universal and their ticket packages, from what I read, this pass would probably be good for us because we really only go to Florida in August or February.

Oh yes its cheaper then you think. The dates you want to go are not blackout dates that come with the PowerPass.Well worth the money, here is the site:

You can pay the difference in the prices and upgrade on any of the days you use your 7 day pass. The AP date would start on the first day that you entered the park using your 7 day ticket. The Power Pass may not be as cheap when you go but the value of your 7 day ticket might also increase. The Power Pass is a great value just as long as you are aware of the blackout dates.
