If you buy a Magic Your Way park pass with water park and more....then you have to upgrade to a PAP right?????

What if you get a Magic Your Way hopper without no exp. can you still upgrade that or does it have to have the no exp.???

What if you buy a Undercover Tourist discounted pass and pay 393.95 for an 8 day no exp. park pass then Can I upgrade that to a DVC AP. The gate price of the same ticket with tax is 414.29 which is exactly what a DVC AP cost with tax. Can this be done????

Only if you use a water park option on the pass.

No, you don't have to get a no exp option MYW pass. The best deal is to get a pass that has the biggest discount off the gate price BUT has a gate price that doesn't exceed the price of the DVC AP.

Yes, absolutely. You just need to use the pass to enter a park first. Be very careful - not every CM knows how to do this transaction properly. When I did it last November, I had carefully calculated the value of my upgrade and what I should be paying OOP. That total was $51 for 3 passes, but the CM rang it all up and tried to charge me over $200! :scared1: I took a deep breath, explained the calculations and mentioned "I believe this is called a 'bridge' transaction - that must have been the magic word because he figured it out at that point.

Keep in mind that if the ticket is used first, you will only have 14 days from first use to upgrade the ticket. This applies even if the no expire option was purchased.

Okay.....so we used the ticket to get in on Wed. morning at MK....we could walk right over to the ticket window and do the transaction then. SO what if you have the water parks added to the UT ticket but have NOT used that feature yet. Does it still have to be upgraded to a PAP???????? Or only if one of the water park and mores has been used???

As Tara already said, you only have to upgrade to a PAP if you have used any of the Water Park or More options.

I'm planning to do the use ticket/upgrade to DVC AP transaction myself. However, I think it gets dicey with the "and more" feature and am not going that route. Call me chicken.

PS. When is your trip? We'll be there May 14-21.

Awesome! We're doing BCV in May, off-site pool house in July (19-23), and BLT in mid-August. Have to get some use from the AP's!!!!

Am planning to buy one ticket at AAA for the parking pass.

Did you figure out which UT ticket is the bes buy for AP upgrade? My brain hurts from looking at numbers today. I'd love to know what smarter minds figured out. :)

You do get free parking at WDW with an AP so you would not have to buy one with AAA. Here is my other thread. I think I figured out the best deal on that thread. :goodvibes

Thanks for the link!

We get the AAA parking pass each year for the up-close parking; will come in handy especially for our off-site trip.

ETA: ROTFLOL...just realized it was your first post that had the prices in it. See? I really am number weary today!

Yes, it's nice if you're driving to the park. They reserve a few rows right after HC parking for AAA, so it's an easy walk and you don't have to take a tram if you don't want to.

Some AAA offices require you to book a package with them before they'll give you the pass; other office (including mine) will give you a pass with ticket purchase. Check with your local AAA office first.
