Does it ever get cheaper? For example leaving it till the day and asking before checking in or may be ringing 48 hours before?

I'd quiet like the extra space with DD but not so keen on spending a lot of money that could go towards our spends.

I know we got offered it at the airport £150 each but that was in november 2011. Im sure the PE gurus will advise you. Personally I wouldnt pay it but then didnt have a good experience in PE.

Can I ask why?

Just as we have DD with out a seat I'd quiet like the extra room. I considered the spread your wings extra seat but think DH would quiet like the treat of sitting PE.

We usually only fly PE however outbound in February I had booked E out PE back - when the sale started I could upgrade to PE for less than £100 each in manage your booking so I grabbed it.

Never seen it at the airport for less than £200 in recent times. Even on our flight back this time there was only 17 in PE and still no cheap upgrades offered.

I havent ever had the option to upgrade in manage booking is this because I booked through Disney?

We flew last year withtwins on our lap and had bulkheadseats with no problems. It was hard for usaswe both had baby on our laps. I wouldnt upgrade just because of that though as the space i dont think is too much more than what we got on a bulkhead really. At least in economy you have other kids crying and making noise as ours did this year, i didnt feel so bad as others were too :-)

If you get the PE seats in the front row with the skycots then I did find it quite a bit more spacious than the Bulkheads in Economy.

However i did find it a bit awkward at times that the arm rests don't move (unless this has changed since the refurb).

If we were guaranteed the bulk head see I wouldn't mind. But the man on the phone said he can't and I just don't like leaving it to chance especially with my luck every one on the flight will have babies knowing my luck lol x

We requested a skycot and had o problem getting it. To be honest i would have preferred not to have the ulkhead as the arm rests dont move like other rows

Is that because of the TVs I never move my arm rest and spent the 50 minute flight stopping DD playing with it when we went to to DLP. That and the tray table. If we had bulk head it would be perfect not having to tell her no every ten seconds of taking off and landing lol x

I dont know if this helps, but in october, virgin phoned us a couple of days before our flight and asked if we wanted to upgrade. It was going to cost £150 each both ways. We turned it down.
As luck would have it, we ended up sitting on a new plane at the front of economy upstairs!
Xx

We've just booked flights for Oct 2013 and we were quoted only £52pp for the return flight at the time of booking. Of course we took it.!!!! I would try phoning at various times as the price obviously fluctuates. Good Luck
