Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what the time limit is on upgrading the regular dining plan to the deluxe dining plan?

Thanks!

Yep you can add up to the day before you are to arrive, However if you dont have ADR's already I wouldnt upgrade until you can get the reservations. If you upgrade and then cant get the ADRs you are out that $.

Call and Verify! In 2008, I added the dining plan on our check-in day. This last trip in Dec. 2010, It had to be done (if I remember right) 3 days before check-in but definitely before your trip. I'm pretty sure it was at least 3 days before.

At least 3 days before arrival, 2 days for DVC members staying on points.

Note that packages changes made within the last 2 weeks will be subject to a package change fee above and beyond the normal $50 fee (which gets waived on package upgrades). This "last minute" fee never seems to get waived.

Agree with this 3 days / 2 days, not what other posters have said about day before or on arrival. That is the rule.

I also agree with Faldred and Vicki C. - it's 3 days / 2 days.
I agree with Purple and vicki, but not Faldred! (jk).

DVC points reservation people can (or at least could) pay for their plans upon check in, but it still needed to be added no less than 48 hours before check-in. Cash reservation people can add it no closer than 72 hours before check-in, and it the follows the rules of all Disney package payments (due by 45 day mark, any changes after that mark must be paid for on the spot).

No - DVC reservations can no longer pay at check in. We have to pay in full when it is added to the reservation. For all reservations made since mid-October.

Thanks for everyone's help. I called tonight and was able to add it with no problem. I check in on Sunday and can't wait. :cool1:
