My mother is going to WDW in June with my brothers family. SHe called today and wondered if she could change her 6 day park hopper ticket to an AP. We are going next May and has decided that she would like to take another trip next year also (yes, we did invite her). So is this possible. I know my brother has already ordered their tickets. If this is possible what is the procedure. Appreciate any help. :earsgirl:

No, she can possibly have the cost of her remaining days of ONE of her tickets put toward an AP. Policy is that only one ticket may be applied to any purchase of any one ticket. The cannot be done over the phone or online... it has to be done in person

Basically, she would need to take her tickets to Guest Relations. They will read them and find out how much is left on the tickets and what their worth would be. Then after finding out the worth of the ticket she may choose to apply the cost (basically the amount she paid for the ticket originally, divided by the number of days... then multiplied by the number of days she has left) of ONE of her tickets and that amount will be credited toward the purchase of her one AP.

Also, if her ticket has plusses on it, and any of the plusses have been used, she will have to upgrade her ticket to a PREMIUM ANNUAL PASS... all configurations have to match.

I know that this isn't the news she was hoping to hear, but unfortunately, it is Disney's policy for upgrading.

If I read the question correctly, she wants to upgrade a single 6 day PH to an AP. The answer to that is yes she can. She will need to take it in person to a Guest Relations location at any theme park or at DTD to do the transaction. If it's a MYW PH she has no problems at all. It can be upgraded to an AP anytime within 14 days after first use. If it's an unused 6 day PHP, it can also be done. If it is an old 6 day PHP that has been partially used, then the terms that eeyore0062 mentioned above would apply.

SHe has not used any of the ticket. They just received them last week. So she will just need to pay the difference between the two. Can this be done at the guest services in DTD? Thanks for the help.
