Looking to book POP, and the CM today said that I can book the S/P/D and then just upgrade to an annual pass while we are there.

She said the cost to upgrade would just be the price difference between the regular price of the 7-day ticket (which we would get with the S/P/D) and the price of the annual pass.

Just checking if this is 100% for sure? I know sometimes the CMs aren't necessarily told everything, and because we don't really know for sure what's being discounted in this promo.

Thanks much!

Policies can change but we upgraded our park hopper tickets in our Stay,Play,Dine package to Annual Passes in February 2014 at the DHS Guest Services and this is exactly how it worked. I went in with the exact amount it should cost and the CM was willing to verify it before processing the charge. We had no issues.

IF by chance her amount hadn't matched we were prepared to ask to see a supervisor, ask questions about price bridging, or even try it again at a different guest services location.

Perfect, thank you so much! You made me decision so much easier, ha.

That would mean that upgrading would end up saving us $300 on tickets for our next week long trip, yay! Hopefully there will be some AP discounts then, lol.

Oh we thought upgrading to the annual pass would save us money too on our trip in 2015...

Until I ended up booking 2 more trips in 2014 :rotfl: You're right though - the Annual Passholder discounts were awesome if you're flexible with your resort.

Yeah, does it really save you money when you go more than normal?! Lol! ;)

How did you figure the cost of the park ticket with the SPD deal? Are the ticket prices regular price or is it a discounted price with the package? Our package has a two day ticket.

I was told from the regular price of the park ticket.

Use it at least once to get into a park. Then upgrade. It should be the current gate price of the AP you're upgrading to minus the cost of the current gate price of the ticket you have in your hand.

I upgraded my 8 day tickets to an AP with no problem in November :)

I did this with s/p/d in feb 2014. I just had to pay the difference to upgrade. I did this at AK without a problem, but it has not saved me money. What was supposed to be two trips has turned into 4.
