Upgrading to AP with PSD?

I wasn’t really sure where to post this question, but I’ll try here.
I currently have a Play, Stay, and Dine package booked that comes with 5 day park hoppers, room at Pop, and meal plan.
I am considering upgrading to an annual pass.
My questions are:
1) Can I upgrade before I get to the parks?
2) If I upgrade, would I still be able to keep my Disney Dining Plan?
3) If I upgrade at the park, how much comes off of the cost of my AP? My package is $3400 but isn’t broken down to say how much is the cost per room, per tickets, and meal plan. (I’ve upgraded at the parks before when I had a room and ticket package that was clearly laid out, so the cost of the tickets that I already paid for was deducted from the cost of the APs.)
4) If upgrading in the parks, is it better to do it on the first day of my trip or the last days? (I can’t remember from last time.)

The first pinned thread on this page has all the info, but:
1 No (unless you want to rebook without a package)
2 N/A (but you can get the dining plan if you have an AP and book a room only)
3 Look up the price of 5 day hoppers and an annual pass. You'll pay the difference plus tax.
4 First day, so you can get the AP discounts. You gain nothing from waiting until the last day.

Thank you! I should’ve read the pinned post here more thoroughly. Sometimes it all floods together when I’m reading a bunch at a time. Thank you for making my life easier with this though!
