a couple people have mentioned you can upgrade to an AP while at the park and pay the difference.

how much would that be?

we have 4 day park hoppers
how much would the difference be to upgrade to an AP???

is there a place that one can go and figure it out (online)

thanks so much!!!

It looks like 4 day PH's are $184

the deluxe AP is $259 and the PAP is $379

So it should be $75 for the DAP and $195 for the PAP.

thanks so much for the reply
does it matter that we live in SoCal (SD)

i would want to do the cheapest AP option~

actually the So Cal AP (215 days) is less--$169

and the So Cal Select (170 days) is even less $129

You need to go on Disneyland.com and check on whether your dates are blocked out or not however.

You can just take the cost of the AP and subtract the cost of the PH from it, and that is what you should have to pay.

In order to upgrade, the AP must be more than the tickets you are upgrading from. So, if you are paying $184 for your 4 day PH's, then you must choose an AP that is more than that. The Deluxe AP may be your only option, even if you are a So.Cal resident.

However, don't think they will refund if you get an AP (the soCal ones) that costs less.

You may want to check with the Bank on main St. when you first get there--if your dates are blocked, my suggestion would be to use your parkhopper ticket until the last day and then upgrade, because the parkhopper won't be blocked.

Also, if anyone in your group is on a child's ticket (between 3 and 9), their hoppers are worth less. The APs are the same cost for a child or adult. So you'll pay more to upgrade a child than to upgrade an adult. I think it's still a deal, but it's good to know!

thank you all for this great information.

we are going on a Sat and the last day is a Tues (4 days)
so i know we wouldn't be able to use the AP on Sat /Sun w/ the cheapest SoCal AP

i will have to look into it more
and i am not sure DH will go for it... but
i am hoping, once we are there, having such a great time, he won't mind dropping the extra money...:rotfl:

we do have a little one 5 yr and a 10 yr old (yes, she is officially an adult, good thing Disney isn't the one running the country in terms of adults able to say... vote, go to war, or drink beer!):cutie:
