Upgrading to AP - does everyone have to come?

I'm currently at DL. Will b upgrading to AP today. Can I just go to ticket booth or does everyone have to b with me?

Nope every person needs to be present even children. I learned that the hard way after my husband and son started to walk to the GCV as I stood in the ticket booth line by the time it was my turn they were at Jamba juice. We were leaving that afternoon and wouldn't be back the CM was kind enough to give me a voucher with the 2 tickets stapled to it extending it so when we came back in December we could upgrade the 2 tickets then.

No, everyone has to be present, they take your photo so you all have to be there.

Photos aren't on the passes anymore. You go to a photopass person in the parks and they'll take it and attach it to your pass so it shows up on Disney's computers. However, as others said, everyone has to be present when their passes are activated.

We upgraded in September, using the new system. I went to the ticket counter and paid. No one else was with me. (my family was sitting on benches, not far away, just in case) I was told to take our new passes and go through the turnsiles, then proceed to a photopass photographer.

We found one on Main Street. The photos are no longer on the passes, they are stored on the gate computer.

Very easy process.
