Yes. But here is the tradeoff:If we start out with a Park Hopper Bonus ticket, I am assuming we can use the early admission and then upgrade to an Annual Pass since you don't get early admission with APs. Is this correct?
Thank you!
So I will be going to DL in June with my dad who does not have an AP. We will be buying our tickets with AAA with Magic Morning. Since I already have an AP, will they let me enter early with my dad who will have magic morning?

That is so helpful, CrazyDuck! I can't believe I didn't know that we can do the early entry since we will be staying at the Villas at Grand Californian. Thanks so much for the info!To the OP... Since you are a DVC member... If you are staying in a DVC resort or using your points to stay at DLH or PPH then I'd upgrade to AP's ASAP to get any shopping/dining discounts available! Staying onsite allows you access to all the MM's regardless of what type of ticket you are using!

So if I buy a PH for June, can I use it for a Friday and Saturday, and then on Sunday, upgrade to a DAP because Saturday is a blocked day for the DAP? Then could I upgrade the DAP to a PAP or Premier AP at anytime in the future while the DAP is still valid?
You can do better.
Use the MM on Saturday and upgrade that day too. The day you activate your AP it won't be blocked. However the original date on your AP will be the day you started using the PH. Same goes if you upgrade the DAP to a PAP, first day will be the first day you use the PH.
So it's a choice really since the blockout day won't matter. MM on Satuday, AP benfits starting on Saturday. Or MM on Sunday, and AP benefits start a day later.

Ah, even better, because then we could use the discounts! Totally great advice!
If I have the DAP, can I upgrade to a Premier in November at WDW? So I would pay $201 in June for the PH, $128 (-$20 DVC discount) for the DAP in June, and the difference between $722 and $329 in November?
Or, if I decided not to get a Premier, could I visit DLR in December an upgrade to a PAP by paying the $459-329 = $230, assuming priced don't go up before then? I assume I always have to upgrade in person?
Yes. but your expiration date will be the June date still. But its a good way to spread out the cost.
