My husband and I have just made the DVC committment and should be getting all of our paperwork to sign any day now. We are really excited. We already have a trip planned with my family for September. We are once again taking advantage of the free dining. I have already paid for this trip, which includes park tickets for 6 days. Since we are going to plan a few more trips in the upcoming months, we are thinking that it would be beneficial to upgrade to annual passes. Does anyone know if Disney will let me do this given that our tickets are already paid for? I am going to call, but I want to wait for all of the paperwork to come first for DVC. Am I right that the incentive is $100 off annual passes? How many do they allow this discount for? We have relatives coming with us. Thanks.

The AP discount can only be used for immediate family that live in your home. You will be able to upgrade to APs when you get there. If I am correct, you will have to go to a customer relations desk and let them help you do your upgrade. I will be upgrading when we get there in Sept to PAPs. I am interested in any input as well, on where to do it exactly.

I think they will let you upgrade...but call. They will allow APs for everyone in your household...no extended family beyond your address. Its a great deal...we figured that if you hit the parks at least 8 times the AP is the way to go. We have already done 7 and have another trip planned for November. Congrats on your decision to join...have fun.
