Good morning all, this is my first post. Thank you for all the information regarding price "bridging." Only 17 days until our grown-ups only trip to Food & Wine!!! We couldn't be more excited. We have our 5-day Park Hoppers from Undercover Tourist en route to us even as I write this. Thanks to the DIS, I am prepared to
--hand my PH to a CM and ask "How much would it cost to upgrade this to a Florida Resident Annual Pass?" and see if they tell me the same number that I have calculated
--be prepared to politely take my ticket back if our numbers don't match and try again later.
I know I have to use the ticket at LEAST once before I seek an upgrade. If I save my parking receipts for say, 3 days while attending F & W, then go to GS on the evening of Day 3 for an upgrade to a FAP, will a full 3 days of parking be refunded to me?
Are there any drawbacks to waiting to get the upgrade to an FAP? We aren't really shoppers, but do FAP holders get any additional on-the-spot discount at the F & W kiosks?
Thanks for your time!:beach:

:welcome: to posting on the DISboards, mayday!

1- Yes.

2- Yes.

3- Yes.

4- Nope. ONLY for the day that you do the upgrade.

5- See #4 above.
So, you might want to do the upgrade on the first day that you enter a park.

Thanks for the quick reply, Robo. Regarding #4, do you have any idea why that is? When I upgrade to an AP, won't the start date automatically be the first day I used my PH ticket? If so, how can Disney logically charge parking for the hypothetical previous two days--they let it count against me for AP purposes, after all.:beach:

Logic has nothing to do with it. It's all about the $.

Well, I guess we'll just take a break from gorging ourselves like little piggies and head on over to GS sometime during our our first day at F & W. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get a CM who understands price bridging!!
