upgrading tickets?

Hi! I collect airmiles and you can now "buy" myw tickets using your collected airmiles points. (7 day base tickets) My question is b/c we want to take advantage of the AP rate and will need an AP can I take my myw ticket and "upgrade" it to an AP? I called airmiles and they said that the tickets are just like the ones you buy from Disney - they don't say complementary or anything. Can I upgrade to an AP and where can I do that? Can I do it at the Disney Store or do I have to do it at Disney? What kind of credit will they give me towards my ticket?

The only way you can get these questions answered is to have the ticket scanned at Guest Relations at WDW. Some of these perk tickets are upgradeable, some are not. Much depends on whether your airmiles folks paid Disney for the ticket or are doing a reciprocal trade. So your answer on upgrading is a definite "maybe" that cannot be ascertained for sure until GR scans it.

TDS never could upgrade tickets. Even more true now since they are no longer owned by Disney.
