Upgrading Tickets

Here's my situation:

I can buy 3-day everyone gets in for the kids price tickets at the Disney Store in Canada, which saves me a lot of money.

I would really like 6-day tickets.

I know I can upgrade my tickets by paying the difference between a 3 and 6-day ticket.

What I'd like to know is if I have to pay to upgrade to the full price 6 day pass, or the kids price 6 day pass.

Thanks for any help!

Im sorry I dont know the answer to your original question, but I am wondering if the 3 day is saving you money because you are purchasing in canada or because you are getting the kids price?
If because in Canada, check out Flightcenter.ca, there have been a few threads lately and it seems this agency has good prices for our neighbors to the North.
Or if it is simply because you are getting the kids price, then concider purchasing your 6 day hopper from disney.com I(print at home) and then will not need to worry about upgrading.
And by the way, when you upgrad you loose any discount you may have gotten on the original ticket as you pay the price to upgrade between what you paid (not what the ticket is worth) and the price of the upgraded ticket.

Hmm... I missed the flightcenter.ca tip somehow. I think it works out to be pretty close to what we'd pay if the upgrade worked out in our favor, without a chance of it being substantially more expensive.

Thanks for the tip, I think I will purchase them thru flightcenter!

why not just buy 2 of the 3 day passes for each person and then you would have 6 days

Well a 3-day pass is $149, a 6-day pass is $179 (at the current promo rate).

So 2 3-day passes would be $298, or an extra $119!

That's a bit much for an extra MM day.

Forgive me if I don't quite understand your question, but the upgrade price you will pay depends on when you're going. If you plan to use the hoppers by April 30th, then you'll pay kids price. If after, then regular price.

I had a question about upgrading tickets as well. I am going to DL and DCA and definitely planning on spending at least three days. If I buy the 3-day parkhoppers online and decide to upgrade them to 4 or 5-day parkhoppers at the park, what would be the difference that I would I have to pay for?

For instance, if I purchased a 3-day parkhopper for $179 ($20 less than buying it at the gate) and wanted to upgrade it to the 4-day parkhopper ($224 at the gate), would I have to pay $45 or $25 to upgrade it?

Thanks!

I believe the difference is what you get minus what you upgrade from, literally. Unfortunately, you'd have to be upgrading to the at-entrance price, so it'd be $45. I'm 90% sure on this, but if someone can confirm.
