Upgrading Tickets with DVC Discount

I have a question for everyone. If I have a ticket that I got from one of the ticket brokers for a discounted price, say $30 cheaper than buying it at WDW, could I then take that ticket to Guest Services and use it to get an AP with the DVC discount? I'm new to DVC so I was wondering how that would work..

Yes but you need to use one day on it first. Then take it to the window and upgrade it. If you don't use it first to get in....then they will ONLY give your the value of the ticket your got from the broker. If you use it they will give you the current gate price toward that upgrade.
