Upgrading Ticketmania Tickets

If I buy 7 day tickets from ticketmania, and decide later to upgrade to 10 day non-expiring tickets, how will they calculate the price difference? Will it be calculated based on what I paid for the tickets originally from the discounted seller, or will it be just the difference between what WDW charges for the ticket I have and their cost for the new ticket? I don't want to end up losing the benefit of buying from the discount seller ( if ultimately I end up paying what I would have paid Disney anyway).

FayeW...I have the exact question! I hope someone can help us out!

I purchased a Disney Quest one day ticket from Ticketmania for our visit in May. I used it at DQ and then the next day asked if I could apply the cost toward an annual pass. They gave me credit for the price I paid Ticketmania (not the actual value of the ticket) toward the annual pass. The only problem was that I purchased the ticket in March and they counted the annual pass from March to March instead of from May to May.

I did that.

I bought 9 day tickets and realized for less than $4 I could get a 10 day. They credited the original price I paid then charged me $4 for each ticket. It was easy.

Actually, they don't credit the price you pay, but the number of days/perks on your ticket. So if the cost to upgrade from a 9 to a ten day is $4 - that is waht they charge, not the differncce between what you paid and the full rack rate of the ticket.

I'm not positive this is true for all discounted tickets (see mousesavers.com) but it was true for both TIcketmania tickets and the tickets my mom got from her credit card points.

Open question, would they have let you undo the transaction an hour later and pay the full price, receiving a today to next year today (May to May in your case) annual pass?
